How to Connect with Your CustomerMarketing materials & advertising whether it is print advertising, TV or radio commercials must connect emotionally with consumers to be effective. Creative that is so out there that no one connects it to the product is useless, as are messages that are so clichéd they sink into a grey background of noise. Just because an advertisement is entertaining and award winning does not mean it brought in any more money than a straight forward simple ad, in fact sometimes the opposite is true.. Write a plan, set a budget and be consistent. Choose one medium & stick to it. Use words that let your customers know you can solve their problem with your service/product. Radio, a very emotional medium, is easy to purchase, the writing and production are typically included in the price you pay. Like any communication if you want a sound and message that is uniquely designed to help you achieve your desired result then, at very least, you want to be very involved in the creation and at best you will have it written by a professional advertising writer. |
