When is it Time for a Business Facelift?

Professor Irwin Corey said, “If we don’t change direction soon, we’ll end up where we are going.”

Is your business headed for a place you want it to be?

Making a decision to change the logo, and marketing materials for your business can be an expensive, time consuming proposition. How can you tell if it’s the right time to make those changes?

  • Your old logo may be dated in design and colour. Colour preferences change over the years. Will updated colours on the same image still work?
  • Ask yourself if a Retro look is what you are going for or does it leave your business looking like time left it  behind.
  • Does the current look reflect the quality, environment and customer benefits of the services/products you sell?
  • Has your Mission changed?
  • Do you still target the same loyal customers who have grown older along with the business or is that group growing smaller with time and you are failing to attract new customers?
  • Has your purpose, product mix, location, neighborhood demographic, and/or competition changed? What are the main reasons you customers do business with you, from their perspective.
  • Do your logo and marketing materials connect emotionally with your core customer?
  • Is it simply time to freshen things up to inject new energy into the business, staff, and customers?

Be prepared to look at all facets of your business and make sure the outer facelift you are doing is carried through to the customer experience and products or services you provide.

In fact, it makes sense to work from the inside out.

Research, strategize and plan to implement inner change and then communicate that change with your new look. The new fresh image you present will express the customer experience you deliver.
